The ongoing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders’ meeting in Oyo Central Senatorial District has recorded another key development with the emergence of additional consensus candidates.
At the meeting held in the presence of Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Sunkanmi Babalola was confirmed as the consensus candidate for the Egbeda State Constituency.
Also, Waheed Ilumoka emerged as the consensus candidate for the Oluyole State Constituency, further consolidating the party’s consensus-driven approach.
Party sources disclosed that the decisions followed extensive consultations among leaders and stakeholders, aimed at fostering unity, avoiding internal disputes, and strengthening the PDP’s chances in future elections.
The stakeholders’ meeting is still ongoing, with more outcomes expected as deliberations continue.
