A gubernatorial aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Elias Adeojo, has taken a significant step toward strengthening party unity and restoring hope among grassroots members with an empowerment initiative held at the PDP Secretariat in Ido Local Government, Oyo State.

The event, which brought together party faithful from across the 10 wards in Ido Local Government, was marked by the distribution of support to 15 selected members per ward, totaling 150 beneficiaries. For many in attendance, it was more than just an intervention—it was a moment of reassurance that their efforts and loyalty to the party are seen and valued.

Hon. Adeojo, who also serves as the Chairman of the Water Corporation of Oyo State (WCOS) and is a member of PDP Ward 10 in Ido Local Government, said the initiative was deliberately designed to uplift members at the grassroots, especially those who may be struggling or feeling neglected.

Speaking candidly during the engagement, he stressed that even the smallest form of assistance can go a long way in improving lives and sustaining commitment.

“Every little assistance you give to people helps, it matters a lot. If it’s to fuel their cars, their bikes, or to buy food at home—something—it’s also going to make them happy,” he said, drawing nods and quiet smiles from beneficiaries.

Beyond the distribution of support, the gathering also served as a platform to reconnect with party members, listen to their concerns, and rekindle a sense of belonging within the PDP fold.

In a heartfelt appeal, Adeojo called on members who may have distanced themselves from the party to return, emphasizing that unity remains key to achieving shared political goals in Oyo State.

“It’s best they come back now because the train has already moved and it’s still slowing down now. It would be best for them to come back, jump on the train so that we can all get to the final destination, the greener pasture that Governor Oluseyi Makinde is heading to together,” he added.

Party stakeholders present at the event described the initiative as timely and impactful, noting that such direct engagement with members at the grassroots level strengthens trust and deepens political participation.

For many beneficiaries, the day ended not just with support in hand, but with renewed hope, a sense of inclusion, and a stronger belief in the future of the party under leaders who remain connected to the people.
