Olorunsogo Chairman Olayanju Gifts Cars to 8 Chiefs, Empowers Traders, Rewards Academic Excellence

The executive chairman, Olorunsogo local government council area of Oyo state, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju has presented Toyota Corolla cars to 8 traditional Chiefs in the council with a view to recognizing their vital roles and strengtheningg the traditional institution.

The cars were presented to further enhance their capacity to serve and lead effectively.

Also at the council’s empowerment programme, Hon Olayanju presented cash to traders, aimed at boosting small-scale businesses and strengthening the local economy in the area.

In addition, Hon Qozeem Olayanju handed over 100,000 naira cash award to overall best student of Ajimobi Technical University 2025, Oladejo Elizabeth Ayodele, a proud indigene of Igbeti, geared towards promoting academic excellence.

Speaking shortly after presenting the car keys to the Chiefs at the empowerment, the council boss said “Today marked another impactful milestone as we successfully carried out a comprehensive Council Empowerment Program, reaffirming our commitment to grassroots development and inclusive leadership.

“The initiative featured cash empowerment for traders, aimed at boosting small-scale businesses and strengthening the local economy. In a show of compassion and social responsibility, palliatives were also distributed to widows, providing much needed relief and support to vulnerable members of the community.

“Promoting academic excellence was also a key highlight of the program, as a ₦100,000 cash award was presented to the overall best student of Ajimobi Technical University 2025, Oladejo Elizabeth Ayodele, a proud indigene of Igbeti.

“This empowerment program reflects a clear vision uplifting people, honoring tradition, and investing in the future.

While appreciating governor Makinde for his support quality leadership, Hon Olayanju also appreciated the Onigbeti of Igbeti, PDP stakeholders in Olorunsogo and members of the public for their cooperation to his administration.

He said “We appreciate his Exellency Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde for making this possible, the Kabiesi Onigbeti of igbeti and other leaders and stakeholders.”
