A woman identified as Debrakin has stirred emotions online after sharing her story of an alleged 13-year relationship with popular live band performer, Segun Johnson, which she claims ended abruptly.
Taking to TikTok, Debrakin narrated how their relationship spanned over a decade, marked by phases of separation and reconciliation, including a period when she relocated to the United Kingdom. According to her, they rekindled their romance abroad after the singer had gained fame, with promises that their journey together was not yet complete.
She explained that despite building a life and career overseas, Segun allegedly urged her to return to Nigeria, assuring her of support. Though initially hesitant about becoming dependent, she said she eventually agreed—believing the move signaled a deeper commitment and possible plans for the future.
However, things reportedly took an unexpected turn shortly after her return to Lagos. Debrakin claimed that after celebrating his birthday together, the musician traveled back to the UK and returned with a gift she later discovered had been given to him by another woman.
According to her, the discovery created tension, and attempts to address the situation led to a shocking outcome. She alleged that the relationship came to an end through a voice note, bringing a sudden close to what she described as a 13-year emotional investment.
Efforts to reach Segun Johnson for comments were unsuccessful, as calls and messages went unanswered at the time of filing this report.
In a follow-up post, Debrakin noted that sharing her experience publicly was part of her healing process, adding that staying silent might have drawn her back into a situation she believes she needed to leave behind.
