The Oyo State Government has commenced the 2025 promotion exercise for about 3,000 qualified secondary school teachers across the state.

The Chairman, Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Mrs. Olubukola Oladipo, stated this while monitoring the exercise, expressing satisfaction with the smooth and orderly conduct of the process.

Addressing participants, the Chairman encouraged the teachers to reciprocate the commitment of Governor Seyi Makinde by contributing their best towards the success of the education sector in the state.

She urged them to demonstrate dedication, professionalism, and punctuality in the discharge of their duties.
Mrs. Oladipo also emphasised the importance of maintaining high standards during and after the promotion exercise, noting that the process is designed to reward diligence and hard work.

In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary of TESCOM, Mrs. Serifat Abimbola, advised beneficiaries of the promotion exercise to see the opportunity as a call to greater service and renewed commitment.

She stressed that teachers play a critical role in nation-building and should remain focused on shaping the future through quality education delivery.
