

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Progressives Movement has reaffirmed its commitment to party unity and electoral victory as it held its April monthly meeting, drawing leaders and members from across the 33 local government areas of the state.
The meeting, which featured prayers and strategic discussions, focused on the need for divine guidance in selecting credible candidates for all elective positions under the APC. Members offered special prayers, seeking wisdom, knowledge, and direction for the party as it prepares for forthcoming primaries and elections.

Speaking at the gathering, a prominent leader of the movement, Chief Lowo Obisesan, informed members that Senator Sharafadeen Alli was unavoidably absent due to an emergency engagement in Abuja but had sent his apologies, assuring of his presence at the next meeting.
Obisesan emphasized the importance of unity within the party, noting that the movement is fully committed to supporting whoever emerges as the party’s candidate through a transparent primary process. He stressed that collective support remains crucial to achieving victory for the APC at all levels.

He further declared the group’s unwavering loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, assuring that the movement is mobilizing grassroots support to deliver over one million votes for the party in Oyo State.
In his remarks, Hon. Dr. Rotimi Ajanaku expressed admiration for the strength and independence of the movement, noting that such a large and coordinated gathering without sponsorship from political aspirants is rare. He commended leaders across the 33 local government areas for their dedication and pledged his continued support for the movement at all times.

Adding a political dimension to the meeting, Dr. Ola-Oluwa Peter Abidemi, popularly known as Opa, formally declared his ambition to contest for the governorship of Oyo State under the APC. The Afijio Local Government-born aspirant promised to deliver purposeful leadership and improved governance if elected, assuring members of his commitment to the progress and development of the state.
The meeting recorded the presence of several party leaders and stakeholders, including the Chairman of the movement, Elder Femi Abiola; Oyo State Vice Chairman, Chief Dijo Ogundiran; Secretary, Chief Caleb Oyaniyi; and Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Ruffy Adepoju, among others.
Other notable attendees included Alhaji Shiba Adekunle, Chief Lowo Obisesan, Engr. Ayoade Olatunji, Alhaji Jelili Fakeu, Alhaji Liadi Akande, Alhaji Tajudeen Balogun, Alhaji Alabi, Alhaji Jimoh Raseed Lelekuele, Alhaji T.M Balogun, Hon. Bola Onaolapo, Alhaji Bintilaye (Ogo-Oluwa), Elder Sola Ogunlowo, Hon. Muili Popoola, Prince Dele Adeyemo, Alhaji Tunde Ibrahim, Princes Balogun, Hon. Sulaimon Alade, Commy Jackson Sulaimon, Hon. Yekinni Ojo, Hon. Otunba Sanni Aridunu Eletu, Hon. Kola Hammed, Comrade Gbenga Owojori, and Hon. Isa Ahmed Abiodun.
The April edition of the meeting concluded with renewed commitment from members to strengthen party structures, deepen grassroots mobilization, and ensure the APC’s success in upcoming elections across Oyo State.
