The Chairman of Lagelu Local Government in Oyo State, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde and the First Lady, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their recent conferment of chieftaincy titles by the Ibarapa Traditional Council.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the local government chairman described the titles of Aare Soludero and Yeye Aare Soludero, conferred on the governor and his wife in Eruwa, as a well-deserved recognition of their contributions to the development of Oyo State.
Hon. Kamorudeen said the honour reflects Governor Makinde’s outstanding leadership, visionary governance and commitment to the progress and unity of the state. He also praised the First Lady for her efforts in promoting social welfare and empowerment programmes for the people.
Speaking on behalf of the executive, legislative arm and residents of Lagelu Local Government, the chairman expressed joy over the development and affirmed the continued support of the council for the governor’s administration.
He prayed for more strength and good health for the governor and the First Lady as they continue to discharge their responsibilities to the people of Oyo State.
