Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State have confirmed Hon. Adeniyi Adebisi as the party’s candidate for the Saki East/Saki West/Atisbo Federal Constituency.
The confirmation emerged from an ongoing high-level stakeholders’ meeting with the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, alongside key political leaders and stakeholders from across the Oke-Ogun axis.
Sources at the meeting disclosed that party stakeholders unanimously affirmed Adeniyi Adebisi as the candidate to represent the constituency, as part of broader consultations aimed at strengthening unity and political coordination within the zone.
Hon. Adebisi is a key member of the current administration, serving as the Commissioner for Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives in Oyo State. He has also previously served as Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, playing a significant role in the state’s economic and agricultural development drive.
Political observers say his confirmation reflects the confidence reposed in him by party stakeholders, particularly within the Saki axis, where he has maintained strong political influence over the years.
The stakeholders’ meeting is part of ongoing consultations by party leaders to consolidate internal cohesion and strategically position the party ahead of future electoral engagements.
