As workers across Nigeria commemorate this year’s Workers’ Day, the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has paid glowing tribute to the resilience, dedication, and invaluable contributions of the state’s workforce to sustainable development.

In a message marking the May 1 celebration, on Friday in a statement released by the Head of Media Unit to the Chairman Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates and made available to newsmen, Falana acknowledged the critical role played by workers in driving the growth and progress of Oyo State and the nation at large.

He emphasized that the commitment, diligence, and sacrifices of workers remain the backbone of economic advancement and social stability.

“Today, we celebrate the dedication, resilience, and hard work of every worker whose efforts continue to shape the future of our state and country. Your labor is impactful, and your contributions are deeply appreciated,” he stated.

The Youth Agency Chairman further reaffirmed the Pride of the Southwest sustainable development legacy, Engr ‘Seyi Makinde’s government’s commitment to empowering young people through strategic initiatives, skill development programmes, and opportunities aimed at fostering a productive and self-reliant generation.

Falana noted that investing in youth development is essential to building a stronger workforce and ensuring long-term prosperity. He stressed that the agency remains focused on creating pathways that enable young people to contribute meaningfully to the economy.

He concluded by urging workers to remain steadfast and committed to excellence, while reiterating that a stronger workforce will ultimately translate into a more prosperous Oyo State.

“Strong workers build stronger youths, and together, we can achieve a greater Oyo State,” Falana added.

The message aligns with the broader spirit of Workers’ Day, celebrating the dignity of labor and recognizing the enduring contributions of workers across all sectors.
